In line with its commitment to enhancing the understanding of the roles and contributions of Syrian business leaders in Türkiye, SURIAD, in cooperation with the Syrian Dialogue Center, has released a comprehensive report that highlights the realities and perspectives of Syrian business leaders and their role in the Turkish economy.
Significant Contributions to the Turkish Economy
The study revealed that Syrian business leaders represent 18% of all foreign-owned companies in Türkiye, making them the leading group among foreign investors.
These companies have contributed to:
• creating job opportunities for Syrians in Türkiye, which has helped reduce unemployment rates within the Syrian community.
• Enhancing economic relations between the Syrian and Turkish communities through positive interaction with the local environment.
• Revitalizing multiple economic sectors, including: trade, industry, services, and more…
Challenges They Face:
Despite their significant success, Syrian business leaders continue to face several challenges, Key Challenges:
• **Legal and bureaucratic procedures** related to establishing companies and obtaining licenses.
• **Difficulty accessing suitable financing** to expand their projects.
• **Challenges related to full integration** into the Turkish economy.
Future Aspirations:
The study confirmed that the majority of Syrian business leaders aspire to:
