Under the gracious patronage and attendance of the Deputy Minister of Interior, a conference was held today, Monday, on refugees and their role in supporting the economic sector in Türkiye, under the title: “Skilled Migrants / High-Skill Migration and Economic Development.”
The conference was attended by the President of the Directorate General of Migration Management, the Director of the Labor Office, several members of the Turkish Parliament, and other government officials.
A delegation from the administration of the Syrian Businessmen Association – SURIAD was invited to attend and participate. Dr. Ahmad Samer Al-Ash delivered the Association’s speech, during which he explained the activities of Syrian businessmen across various economic sectors and their role in employing the workforce and contributing to the production cycle hand in hand with their Turkish business counterparts. He also extended an invitation to the representatives of the Turkish government to review the challenges faced by Syrian businessmen and to introduce new solutions related to facilitating citizenship procedures, work permits, and developing practical and innovative approaches, moving away from previous solutions that have not yielded sufficient results in the past period.
