The Syrian Businessmen Association (SURIAD) has announced the official results of its elections for the new Board of Directors and Supervisory Committee 2026. The announcement followed the completion of the necessary administrative and legal procedures, including the final approval of the newly elected Board of Directors and the amended bylaws, as well as a comprehensive review of the previous term’s administrative, financial, and legal records.

A New Chapter of Institutional Development
These elections represent an important step in strengthening SURIAD’s institutional continuity, renewing its administrative and supervisory structures, and advancing its role in bringing together Syrian business leaders while promoting economic and investment cooperation and partnerships among them.
On this occasion, the outgoing Chairperson, Mr. Nidal Al-Hibel, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the previous Board of Directors for their efforts throughout the past term. He emphasized the importance of preserving the association’s continuity despite the exceptional circumstances Syria has experienced and the challenges faced by the Syrian business community in Türkiye.
He also congratulated the newly elected members of the Board of Directors and Supervisory Committee, including principal and alternate members, and encouraged all SURIAD members to cooperate with the new leadership, contribute to the association’s development, and strengthen its institutional presence.
As it begins its new term, SURIAD looks forward to further developing its activities, expanding its network of relationships, and strengthening connections among Syrian business leaders, serving its members’ interests and supporting economic and investment cooperation between Syria and Türkiye.
