As part of the commitment of the management of the Syrian Businessmen Association (SURIAD) to organizing the Association’s internal affairs, the management met with legal and financial expert consultants and reviewed the Association’s records and documents in order to achieve the optimal structure for the Association in accordance with Turkish laws.

These efforts come as part of SURIAD’s commitment to strengthening its role as a leading association supporting Syrian businesspeople in Türkiye.

By organizing its legal and administrative affairs, the Association aims to achieve its objectives efficiently and effectively, in accordance with Turkish laws, while enhancing its credibility and the trust of its members and the surrounding community.

The process of organizing the Association’s legal affairs is considered an important step in its development and in strengthening its leading role in supporting Syrian businesspeople in Türkiye. Turkish law requires licensed associations in Türkiye to maintain several official registers, including:

  • The Decisions Register:
The date and number of the Board of Directors’ decisions are recorded in this register, and the members who attended the meeting sign below the decisions.
  • The Members Register:
The personal information of the Association’s members, along with the dates of their admission to and withdrawal from the Association, is recorded in this register.
  • The Documents Register:
Incoming and outgoing documents are recorded in it, along with their dates and serial numbers.
  • The Operating Account Register:
This register is organized to record the Association’s revenues and expenses clearly and periodically.
