At the invitation of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye and the Presidency of Migration Management, a meeting was held to discuss the situation of migrants in Şanlıurfa Province. The meeting focused on three main areas: economic, educational, and social.

The meeting was attended by a group of important figures and relevant stakeholders, including:

  • Professor Mahmut Kaya (Prof. Dr. Mahmut Kaya) from Harran University.
  • The head of the Turkish Businessmen Association branch in Urfa.
  • Representatives from the Urfa Directorate of Health.
  • Representatives from the Urfa Mufti’s Office.
  • Several Turkish and Syrian civil society organizations in Urfa.
  • The President of the Urfa Chamber of Commerce, Mehmet Yetim.
  • Some Syrian social, economic, and educational figures in Urfa.

The meeting was attended by the representative of the Syrian Businessmen Association in Urfa and Board Member,
Mr. Abdalsalam HAJ EBRAHEM. During the meeting, several important issues related to the situation of Syrian migrants in the province were discussed, and ideas and experiences were exchanged to achieve improvements in the economic, educational, and social fields.

This meeting represents an important step toward strengthening cooperation between government institutions and civil society organizations, and unifying efforts to support migrants and improve their living conditions.

The Syrian Businessmen Association (SURIAD) affirms that it remains committed to supporting refugees and is working diligently to strengthen cooperation among all relevant parties to improve their conditions and ensure a better future for them. The Association believes that collective action and joint cooperation are the most effective means to achieve the desired goals.
